Privacy
What we store
We store your account name, verified email, linked sign-in provider, session and security records, reading progress (which chapters you read, how far and when), bookmarks, preferences, contributions, votes and book proposals. Membership records include provider references and access periods; card details are handled by the payment provider.
Why and who receives it
Account and membership data support the service you request. Security and editorial records protect the service and maintain story continuity. Cloudflare hosts the application, database, private artifacts and transactional email. Enabled sign-in providers handle their login. Creem processes subscriptions. Submitted ideas and story context may be processed by OpenAI and Anthropic, and by Typesafe when its optional preflight is enabled. Do not submit sensitive personal information. Provider processing may occur outside your country; contact us for the applicable transfer safeguards.
Analytics and external resources
SundayQuill and DataFast browser analytics is optional and starts only after you allow it. SundayQuill stores a random browser identifier for up to 365 days to measure reading journeys and weekly returns, and keeps daily visits, paragraph identifiers, estimated word counts, active reading time and chapter milestones for up to 365 days. Referrer domains are recorded; these records are not linked to your account. It measures visits, feature events and browser/session identifiers, without account emails, sign-in codes, submitted text or URL queries. You can withdraw permission in the footer; we also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Public AI crawler monitoring may send crawler IP and user-agent metadata to DataFast. Google Fonts receives normal browser request metadata when fonts load.
Retention
Sessions expire after 14 days; expired sessions and email verification records are removed by the jobs Worker. Account data is retained while you use the service. Deletion requests receive individual review: published story history and anonymized contribution credits may remain, and payment, fraud and dispute records may be retained where legally required. Backup copies age out according to the operational retention schedule. Support can explain the applicable period for a particular record.
Your choices and rights
Download your account data from your account page. You can request correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to applicable processing, or contact your data protection authority. Account deletion requests are recorded in your signed-in account; we normally respond within one month and explain any lawful extension or retained records. If you cannot sign in, contact support so we can verify your identity.
